FEP Tubing
FEP is a modified category of PTFE. It remains basically the properties of PTFE, like excellent high- low-temperature resistance, chemical stability, dielectricity, high non-adhesiveness and mechanical strength.
Compare to PTFE, it has better elasticity and transparency and is only 60°Clower than PTFE by limit of high temperature resistance.
FEP tubing is known for its gas and vapor permeability properties and excellent UV transmission ratings. While very similar in composition to PTFE, there are a few notable differences. FEP has a lower heat shrink temperature and is more clear and flexible than PTFE.
FEP tube is made from FEP resin and prepared by the technology of extrusion. It can be used at the temperature range of -80℃~ 200℃.
FEP tube and PTFE tube are similar in their material properties. The main difference between PTFE tube and FEP tube is the maximum operating temperature and the colour.
FEP applications include but not limited to electronic items such as wire covering and FEP spaghetti tubing, FEP linings for pipes in the chemical industry, aircraft wiring, and glazing for solar energy collectors.
